Bare necessities
Nunca me había fijado en la letra... pero hoy llevo todo el día haciendo monkey work y por alguna razón me he quedado con la letra mientras programaba la capa de datos del sistema para el cálculo del per-diem rate noruego del travel expense module.

Turtle Power!
Más de un mes sin escribir... parece mucho, pero no es nada.
Hace un rato alguna extraña combinación neuronal ha rescatado un recuerdo que llevaba enterrado 18 años.
¡18 años!
En 1990 salió la película de las tortugas ninja. Yo tenía.... 13 años por aquel entonces... supongo que en los 40 principales echaban la banda sonora que tenía un tema que me impactó.
Ahora lo oigo y bueeeno, tampoco es demasiado malo, pero por aquel entonces, para mí, era la caña.
Poco podemos decir del grupo, Partners in Kryme. No tuvieron mucho éxito, o mejor, no tuvieron muchos éxitos, pues sólo tuvieron éste. ¡Ni siquiera sacaron un disco completo los tíos! No veas si eran malos los cabrones.
En fin...

From the field of weeds the heroes rescued the flower
'Cause they possessed...Turtle Power!

When there's a battle got the enemy wishin'
That they stayed at home, instead of fightin'
These ninja masters with moves like lightnin'.
They were once normal, but now they're mutants.
Splinter's the teacher so they are the students.
Leonardo, Michaelangelo, and Donatello,
Make up this group with one other fellow
Raphael. He's the leader of the group
Transformed from the norm by the nuclear goop.
Pizza's the food that's sure to please,
These ninjas are into pepperoni and cheese.
Back to the story, it's not hard to find.
Ninjas not just of the body but of the mind.
These are the words that their master instructed,
But a letter from Shredder has Splinter abducted.
That was the last straw, spring into action.
Step on The Foot, now they're gonna lose traction.

To defeat the snake, protect the weak,

Lo que más flojea en los juegos GTA son los gráficos. Todo lo demás es impresionante en el momento en el que salen.
La jugabilidad, las inmensas posibilidades que ofrecen, las historias, el humor, la sangre... son juegos perfectos siempre. También por la música. La canción la he sacado de la radio Flash FM de GTA Vice City Stories.

La mejor forma de despertarse de una siesta
Supongo que algún día algún pringado de Google caerá aquí mientras buscaba la causa de sus dolores de cabeza post-siesta.
Una canción que, como podéis imaginar por el título, no es demasiado alegre si oyes la letra.
Aquí tenéis una versión de Billie Holiday que debe estar remezclada o algo, porque se oye demasiado bien. Oídla con letra.
Da igual.
La mejor forma de despertarse de una siesta es ir al ordenador a poner algo de musiquilla, y que lo primero que encuentres en el disco duro sea una canción que ni sabías que tenías (es lo que tiene la cultura gratis).

Queen of the Night
Mirando los feeds, descubrí un artículo titulado "La peor cantante de ópera de la historia". En el mismo, hay un pequeño vídeo con un ejemplo que nos permite deleitarnos con el talento de dicha señora...
Tras oirlo, y para quitarme el mal sabor de boca, he buscado en goear alguna versión que sonara mejor, y aquí la tenéis:
Yo no entiendo de ópera. De hecho ni me gusta como suenan las voces femeninas en dicha música, pero esto es la caña. Para un oído no entrenado como el mio, es la perfección...
... al menos tras escuchar a Florence Foster ;)

El puto rey
Elvis.
El otro día subí un concierto entero de Elvis a youtube. Lo he partido por canciones y lo podéis encontrar aquí; si os lo queréis descargar con el eMule, aquí lo tenéis.
Os aconsejo que pongáis el truco para ver los mejor y, sobre todo, oirlos mejor. Se trata de escribir &fmt=18 al final de la url. Si no sabéis de lo que hablo da igual.
Creo que es el mejor concierto que tiene, pero claro, yo solo he visto 3 o 4.
Aquí solo os he puesto unas pocas, os lo recomiendo entero.
